World Peace Is Possible

Posted by Ministry of St. Francis of Assisi on February 26, 2017 at 9:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Visualize what you want, not what you hate. Allow love to circle the planet, flowing from your heart...a heart of peace. Pray for every human being to have a heart that beats to the tune of pure love. Pray from this consciousness and visualize every person, in their own divinity, living from that sacred place of compassion. Envision Mother Earth enveloped in peace and wrapped in a continuous flow of divine love. Allow your heart to bless the world with your love flowing, connec...

Preparing For Our Lenten Journey 2017

Posted by Ministry of St. Francis of Assisi on February 25, 2017 at 11:35 AM Comments comments (0)

I grew up in New Orleans and just assumed that everyone experienced what I experienced every Fat Tuesday leading into Ash Wednesday. Leading up to Mardi Gras day, everyone parties...well, pretty much everyone. People are attending parades and there is a LOT of partying going on with bars staying open into the wee hours of the morning. On Mardi Gras day...Fat Tuesday...the midnight hour strikes and ALL of New Orleans shuts down. Police on horses ride side-by-side down Bourbo...

Choosing Our Point of View

Posted by Ministry of St. Francis of Assisi on February 5, 2017 at 1:40 PM Comments comments (0)

When I was at the University of New Orleans, I took every photography class that they offered. I love photography and I remember my teacher telling me that the world through the lens is different than the world outside of the lens because we get to choose the world that we see through the camera's lens. Which lens are you choosing to view the world? Personally, I choose to look at life through a spiritual lens of peace, joy and love which enables me to discover and welcome self...

Letting Go Of Resentment

Posted by Ministry of St. Francis of Assisi on January 28, 2017 at 9:15 AM Comments comments (0)

Having a heart filled with resentment fully occupies your mind and keeps you trapped in a constant state of misery. Forgiveness is a blessing and takes great strength. By not forgiving, you are literally giving that other person total control of your life by allowing that person to steal your peace of mind...your very joy. With forgiveness, your heart softens, that heaviness lifts and you feel free. Bless and release those feelings of animosity to the Holy Spirit. Instead of li...

The path to enlightenment is simple. A simple walk and quiet time in prayer and meditation rests our mind and engulfs our spirit with the simplicity of joy. Walking and meditating have great impacts on our lives as we are able to focus on the simpler things in life and live in awareness of the bountiful blessings of God. By focusing on a simpler lifestyle, we embrace peace of mind which leads to greater love, better health and more fulfilling companionship.

Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King

One of the greatest inauguration speeches was not given by an incoming President, but by a preacher on a hot, sweltering day in Washington, DC. No one knew what to expect from this man's speech, a man who's bravery was displayed not with anger, but with compassion. Dr. King never lifted a hand or yelled out words or brandished a weapon or even made threats. That is what threatened people of hate the most...his compassion. No one knew what he was about to say until he delivered ...

Happy New Year 2017

This is the day that most of us look back on what was and anticipate what will be. That anticipation is allowing our heart and mind to open to new learning and growing. By stepping forward into the new year, you are welcoming a new way of being by remaining curious and allowing God's wisdom to instruct you. You are grateful for every new understanding and for all that God is teaching you. You are now ready to learn, explore and grow into deeper awareness and more profound meani...

Generous Spirit

True prosperity is the manifestation of faith, not money. Jesus showed us the way when a crowd of five thousand gathered and needed to be fed. Jesus took five loaves and two fish and turned to God. Jesus acknowledged God with gratitude and blessed the food before Him. Jesus anticipated a miracle and it happened. You are the example of Jesus as you give thanks for your abundance and you share your abundance with others who are ceaselessly praying for a miracle. Whether it's dona...

In God's Service

Posted by Ministry of St. Francis of Assisi on July 13, 2015 at 4:30 PM Comments comments (0)

I love being in God's service. There is no better place for better way for me to live. With that said, I'm at a place in my life where I am living Matthew 10:14 - "If anyone will not welcome you... leave.. and shake the dust off your feet." I choose to love and to live as Jesus loved and lived. Jesus was often questioned and judged for whom He chose to be seen with. He shared food, time and space with folks that He was warned to steer clear of... people with questionabl...
