The path to enlightenment is simple. A simple walk and quiet time in prayer and meditation rests our mind and engulfs our spirit with the simplicity of joy. Walking and meditating have great impacts on our lives as we are able to focus on the simpler things in life and live in awareness of the bountiful blessings of God. By focusing on a simpler lifestyle, we embrace peace of mind which leads to greater love, better health and more fulfilling companionship.
But, who says that enlightenment has to be a serious adventure filled with non-laughter? In teaching meditation, I often include bouts of intention laughter. Laughter is the great releaser of inner stress and other ickiness. If you are finding that you are having difficulties with staying on the road to enlightenment, try intentional laughter. It's free. It's simple. Start by intentionally laughing in your car on your way to wherever you are going. Laughing is a path to enlightenment and it is simple.
